Washing it
Rinse in cold water straight after every swim, especially out of a chlorinated pool, then machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and hang to dry in the shade. No fabric softener, no bleach, no dryer.
Picking her size
Go by her measurements rather than her age. If she is between sizes, go up.
